A functional refresh with a whole lot of charm

It’s common in many Kiwi homes for the laundry to live in the garage — a space that’s often overlooked and far from inspiring. This project was the perfect example: no storage, lots of clutter, and zero visual appeal. But with a little clever planning and a few simple updates, this tired corner was transformed into a laundry that’s both practical and pretty.

Flat-pack cabinetry from Bunnings, a timber-look benchtop, and a splashback painted in Dulux Knave gave the space a fresh, cohesive look — all without major construction or a big budget.

The result?
A calm, clean and beautifully organised utility zone that makes everyday chores feel just a little bit nicer.
